Donna S. Wayner, Ph.D. Dr. Donna S. Wayner is an audiologist and former Director of The Hearing Center at the Albany Medical Center Hospital, Albany, New York. In addition, she has served as an Associate Clinical Professor of Surgery at the Albany Medical College and consultant to various organizations, government agencies and private industries. Recognized in the field of hearing impairment and rehabilitation, Dr. Wayner has made numerous presentations at national and international conferences and has published books, chapters and articles about hearing loss and tinnitus. |

Judy E. Abrahamson, M.A. A clinical audiologist, Judy E. Abrahamson is on staff at the Central Texas Veteran's Health Care System in Temple, Texas. Ms. Abrahamson provides individual and group audiologic rehabilitation programs for clients and family members at the VA and in private practice and medical centers. She teaches Aural Rehabilitation classes at the University of Texas at Austin and consults for skilled nursing facilities, vocational rehabilitation programs, corporations, and residential schools for students with special needs. Ms. Abrahamson has authored numerous publications and is Past President of the Academy of Rehabilitative Audiology. |

Sr. June Casterton, SFP, M.A. Sister June Casterton serves on the U.S. regional leadership team for her religious congregation. Sr. June has been hearing impaired since birth. Her mild hearing loss as a child progressed to a profound loss as an adult. She started at the SHHH Chapter in Dayton, OH, and developed an education program for the staff at the medical center on how to assist patients who were hearing impaired. She served on the National SHHH Board from 1986-1989. In June 1996, she received her cochlear implant and willingly shares her experiences and learning. |

Odilie Portocarrero Au.D. Dr. Odilie Portocarrero is of Spanish and Nicaraguan origin. She attended the University of Florida where she was a part of the Inaugural Class to graduate with a Doctorate in Audiology in May of 2000. She is now employed as Senior Clinical Audiologist at the Health First Homes Regional Hospital in Melbourne, Florida. She has provided individual and group Aural Rehabilitation classes for private practice, vocational rehabilitation, senior centers, and the VA Medical Center. As a bilingual Hispanic American she makes a point to service, educate and counsel the hearing impaired of all backgrounds in a culturally sensitive, family-centered manner. |

Ellen I. Rubert, M.Ed. Ellen I. Rupert is Assistant Director of Training for the New York State Thruway Authority. She is a member of the New York State Education Department Board for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and the New York State Training Council. Ms. Rupert teaches Implications of Deafness at The College of St. Rose in Albany, New York. A past president of Hearing Endeavor for the Albany Region (H.E.A.R.), a chapter of Self Help for Hard of Hearing People, Inc., she holds a M.Ed. in Communication Education from Springfield College and a B.A. in Sociology from Siena College. |
